Brief from client

Logo I made for a non profit I want to start

This is a second attempt at the logo. I am not sure if the idea improved or not. Please let me know and thank you to anyone who gave me feedback on the first attempt.

It is an improvement (in my humble opinion!) but not quite there yet. It doesn't look so "child-like" now- so that's good. Your typography is disconnected. Try a version without the arch (to me that feels dated). For example "Mental" Symbol "Balance" or symbol above "Mental Balance" etc.Try to find a typeface that relates better to the symbol. Keep at it! =)

I actually liked the shape of your other elephant better, I just wanted to see it more simplified down. Kind of like this. Except without the dot eye.

I do think getting rid of the large orange circle was a great improvement, and that second version you posted in the comments with your typography takes care of that disconnect.
