Brief from client
"Even though we use computers for editing we'd like to focus on the analogue lens/photography aspect of what we do."
It really bothers me that the lime comes after the green in the rainbow. That is not how rainbows work. The purple at the end of the rainbow isn't jiving with me either. Both those sections look like a mistake to me.
It is like a broken down unicorn on the highway, I just need to stare at it as I go by. So much am I distracted by it, that I cannot even begin to rate the rest of your logo.
...
Okay, I can a little. There are a lot of effects on this. I don't know if it needs that many gradients (it would be better suited as solid colours) and it doesn't need that outer glow.
The thickness of the circles around the rainbow is variable, try to make them either match exactly, or be more obviously different.
Finally, it is an aperture. Everyone and their grandma has one of those in their logo, you may one to consider something else entirely. (Please avoid switching it with a lightbulb, an apple, a house's roof line, or a cymk print swatch)
It's a 'maybe' from Waffles then? Great critique, which to be fair is spot-on. Money cannot but this kind of feedback. Waffles, you are, and always will be a legend.
I for one like this logo very much. I think it's all neat and clean. It get the aperture things, and though I'd be the first the dismiss it as a gimmick, it's pretty well done and subtle. It's definitely not the ubiquitous and annoying aperture usual pictogram.
I agree, it's a good logo, but there are some details that could be managed a bit differently. First of, of the two narrow circles you could just keep the rainbow, and make it a bit thicker. Also, if the colors are to close, you could try and leave a bit of space between them.

Awe. *Blush*
I do like the logo, with tweaking it could be really nice!

Good job sir.
