Never ever use the brush presets from Illustrator. It just screams "amateur".

Not a fan of the font. It lacks some umph or character.

But globally this is on the right track.

I agree with Shawali absolutely about the brushes in Illustrator. I think they general concept here is pleasing but I would watch the lines shaping out the fingers. The line in between the pinky and ring finger is the longest with the lines getting shorter as they get close to the thumb. This should be the other way around because it makes the pinky look like it's cocked up weird. I like the colors you used. I don't hate the font you could benefit from one that balances out weight-wise with your symbol. This is off to a good start.
