Italic it's a good choice to express velocity! Maybe you can close the space between "M" and "X" to get an arrow. You also can get rid off the stroke around them. Keep working!

Nothing really happening here, unfortunately. It's a good thing you stepped away from the checkerboard symbol, but this is utterly boring and unappealing.

The Italics are "too Italic-y" lol
I think the tag line font matches what your going for but other than that i think we need to take a step back and re think the layout of this logo.

Motocross has a lot of really cool logos associated with it. This logo doesn't appeal.
