Brief from client
Logo for book review blog. A script font and the color purple were requested.
Reedited version after critique. Started from scratch with the symbol and tried to tweak the font a bit.
I see an albatross gliding above a script. Well,as we know that books when opened on 180 degrees angle do resemble a bird's flight - still, much need it work ahead on a symbol. I do feel that you are on a right path here. Also, some fine tune up on a font, on " N " and " lp ". I love your color scheme and that soft/poetic approach that I'm visually getting from your concept right now - DON'T loose that, please. Good job, so far.
I LOVE the color scheme and agree with Bopota's statement about the mood.
As for the "N" and "L":
might i suggest a lowercase cursive "L" with a loop in it?
The N is reading as a cursive A without the cross bar in the A. You might be able to flop it horizontally and then rotate it a bit to make it look more like an uppercase N....
Symbol. What would that book look like a little more "3 dimensional object-ish"? Tilted up about 15 degrees and spun on it's y axis a bit? something along this angle?
