Without reading " Olympic " nobody would picture olympic rings on your symbol, unless you tried to outline medals here? Anyhow, you need to refine that symbol to be more recognizable.Idea, typography, colors are fine.

When I saw the word Olympic, I knew right away that those were the rings as well as a thought bubble.
I think this is well done and clever.

You need to work on the kerning though. :)
