Brief from client
The client is an acquaintance so she gave me free will in rebranding their old logo.

Hey guys, I hope you can help me with your critiques about this logo which is for an eyecare store. I sketched a lot of ideas, but nothing came up great. I got stuck with this symbol which kinda represents oranges fruits instead of lenses inside that frame. I don't know if I should move on with this idea or try something else. So, what do you think? Also not sure with the font choice? Thanks.

Hey Allie the symbol looks fun and innovative i'm a fan! But i cant get accustomed to the font i think you could do with something better, maybe a rounded sans serif to fit your round symbol. Not sure about the colors too but thats mainly of the dark (purple?) outlining maybe try something more fitting of the warm shade of the orange color. Good work keep at it!
Thanks, Racealistic. I will try another font. And yes, it is dark purple. I thought it would be something different. I thought... :D
I like the overall look / style of this logo but im not sure about the font and i completely see what you did with the frames and lenses of the glasses but i dont think they enough like oranges nor do they look enough like glasses.
Perhaps try using the segments of an orange cut in half to represent two eyes inside a normal looking pair of frames or something along those lines.
Perhaps you could do something with the two "O's" you have in the name to create a pair of glasses as an idea too.
Anyway i no this has potential so just keep playing around with it! and definitely try some different fonts :)
Thank you M@. Yes, I knew that they don't look enough like oranges. I also tried the segments of an orange but they were looking hypnotizing. :))
And I did think about the "O's" too, but I didn't want just a pair of glasses. I'll play around with those oranges unitl I'll make a fresh juice. :D
Good idea, but the symbols looks like a very bummed out look =)
Never thought of that, but now if you mentioned, it makes sense. Thanks! :)
As someone mentioned earlier, I too would like to see a fusion of an eye and an orange. Always good to think of ways to imply eye wear without actually using that in the logo itself. Outside the box thinking :)
You re right, xTheKillswitch . Thanks for the advice. Really helpful!
