Own logo for graphic design

Brief from client 

Logo for myself as freelancer (designer)

Switched the N & W, also no space between the letters.

I think it's a strong logo, but I still don't see it as a logo for a graphic designer..

Advice is welcome.. Thanks

Designer is spelled wrong. I think the logo is coming together but I don't think this really expresses the creativity you would expect from a designer. I would explore some different ideas. I'm not really a huge fan of this font here either, but that's my preference.

I'm not a fan at all. It looks to me like a logo for a bank from the 70's (without the cool vintage side)

I think this is better than the first version.
besides that i still am not sure if this is going to work, its a neat idea but it feels to old school.
