PERGOLAS LUCANO

Brief from client
A brand for pergolas, lucano is the last name of the owner.
I have no idea what pergolas are and i am too lazy right now to search for this but i like the overall aspect of this. Bold strong font of the main text hits but is friendly, the symbol is shy but has color and means something so it stands up. Is a happy mix, i like it .
I do not know what Pergolas is and I do not know what Lucano is.
The overall look is nice and clean even though you are using both serif and san serif together
is a garden feature forming a shaded walkway, passageway, or sitting area of vertical posts or pillars that usually support cross-beams and a sturdy open lattice, often upon which woody vines are trained
I don't know if all pergolas have those angled edges, but all the ones I have seen do......so, what if you angled the edges in your logo symbol also to give more of a sense of an actual pergola??? Just a thought, I am liking you logo either way =)
I love it. The symbol is simple and clean. The font choices are strong and using the slight serif font on the owner's name gives it a touch of luxury as do the colors. Nice job!
Not that your main font is bad per se, but I don't think it fits the style of the symbol. I get an elegant/luxury vibe from this, and the "Pergolas" is bold and loud. I would stick with one font style.
Another thing you could consider to tie the symbol in more with the type is to echo the horizontal lines in beneath the text. That would require some experimentation, of course.
I like this Logo, I got the idea that it was furniture or a structure, now that I know what a Pergolas, it makes perfect sense. The simplicity is nice, I would just even out the lines, more space on the left between vertical lines than the right side.

Good luck!
i thought the symbol looked like a table.
the pergolas maybe looks too bold compared to the subtext.
