I could get all snooty and nitpick the small stuff, but this works from a conceptual, practical and aesthetic standpoint.
Some of the things I look for in a logo are: "How will this work in color? In black and white? How will it work in social media, as a profile photo/thumbnail? Does the the logo communicate something specific about the type of business that's being promoted (the genre, etc)? Does it incorporate something unique and ownable (the specific name, personality, etc)
Your does all of this. Props.
Nitpicks: The word "DESIGN" could be incorporated better. Consider spreading out the letters (D E S I G N) so they are flush with the larger "FRANKLIN." I think it will be more legible and will work better when as a square thumbnail in social media. You may also want to use a slightly heavier weight for DESIGN, too?
I like the idea a lot, but I agree with others posting here that "Design" needs to be the same size as "Franklin" and preferably justified flush with it, or at least close to the same size. It could remain a darker hue than "Franklin" and still work.
I had an idea very near Franklin, because my concept of the lyrics was the same. My name is Claudio Fulas and am Designer and photographer, the letters used would be CFD.
Changed and styled the letters, but abandoned that idea.
What I commented on your second version applies here, I do like this version a bit more though but I think these suggestions still apply here as well.
I love your ideas, the only thing I think you need to change is the "franklin" type need to be wider and bigger, and I would make the "f" in the symbol wider and reach and touch the pencil.

Lookig good i like it. Dont forget to make sure that you are made this logo for light (white) backgrounds
Good point! I will upload an inverse version thanks
Nice idea. Adjust your kerning in Franklin just a bit, and I would make "design" bigger. It's very faint in this version.
