Personal Identity Logo
TheDesigner33 | Tue, 02/04/2014 - 18:54
Brief from client
This is for my own use to promote myself
This is a personal identity logo i was designing for myself. Would appreciate any CONSTRUCTIVE criticism
It's a neat little icon, but I'm not sure of the choice of colours and fonts.
It reminds me of mens shaving cream, as it has this sporty/corporate feel. This might be right for the type of client you want to attract, but I would recommend you try to make it a bit more feminine. It also needs to exude creativity, after all, that's why they would hire you right?
There's something about the space between RYAN and BELL that doesn't sit well. It might be to do with the text below, but maybe get rid of the gap and colour the words differently as per the logo above.
Having said that, this logo maybe be fundamentally flawed. Some will say this looks like GB. I don't think that matters, as long as it looks good. Right now, it looks ok.
This helps somewhat but I just can not seem to find a solution for my two initials of my name, i want my personal identity to be my initials and be masculine because i am a man..
Ok, what I think isn't going right is that the font and the color make this logo look way too corporate. It looks moi than an bank or insurance company rather than the signature of a one man operation. It lacks a certain human touch, if you will.
I cannot recommend any font, for it should be your choice. It should reflect your taste and personality which nobody beside you. I can recommend these sites, though, where you can find cool professional fonts for free: www.losttype.comwww.fontsquirrel.com Be careful with Lost Type, though. Their fonts are great but tend to be way over used.
realy like the idea, try a other font a play with the colors.
Also i would recommend to make the subtitle a little bit smaller, and give it a bit more spacing. It will create more breathing space for the subtitle and in the end it makes it more simple!
You're a designer not a toothpaste company!!
Make it fun!! Brighten up the colours and Show your creative flare. As designers aim to do stand out!
Goodluck

I don't know you and I don't know what you are trying to represent.. All I can add is that this doesn't make me think 'Graphic Designer'..
Making a personal logo is very hard and you're your greatest critique.
The overall idea has no feel to me, I'd recommend going back to the drawing board and really have a good think about it and make it 'you'.
Well I am a graphic designer, but I don't have one set style, I can do multiple different types of design, but my favorite is sports design, posters, logos, etc.. and I also like straight forward design not metaphorical

I like the symbol and the idea but the type doesn't work well with it.
Also, please respect our rules and only upload one logo per page. You can upload a new version from selecting the option in the right sidebar.
Okay, and well what type would you recommend, and what is wrong with the colors?

Kee that idea, though, the symbol is really cool.

As far as colors go is this any better. Blue and Blue/green are my favorite colors so it needs to be apart of it in some way.

I can't brighten up the colors without getting rid of the color blue..
Maybe look at a two swatch colour logo then without using two different tones on just the one..
What else can I do to improve the logo, i see you gave a thumbs down to the idea? how can i strengthen the idea

I don't have a set style so i don't have a "me"
okay so what do you WANT to be?
