Personal Logo Attempt

Brief from client
My personal logo design attempt
Still trying to figure out the right look for my personal logo. My Initials RB are hard to work with.. because there is only so much you can do with them and I'm trying to create something that is unique and different from everything else i have seen involving R and B. The logo has an abstract backwards R and a front facing B that are intertwined togther into a singular symbol. This is a work in progress so go easy lol, would like some genuine feedback and advice of how i can improve this design, thank you

Different type of combination of the letters
Another variation
This third one reads "qb" to me
Just a first impression is that since "Graphic Design" is so large below it instead of your name my mind always sees the backwards "R" as a "G".
Thanks for the feedback, any suggestions on how to improve one of them. Does removing the small edges to the inside help at all
I see a stylish " S " with a slanted pause II symbol in the center of it. Perhaps, going back to sketch some more ideas - would bring your desire result ?
nope i figured people wouldn't like this, just wanted to try anyway
Well this looks pretty good, but why such a boring "name" like "graphic design"? You have a name that makes you unique, why not use it?
Other than that, I see nothing really wrong with this. The choice of font and the composition are mighty find. I just regret to see yet another initial based designer logo, though in this particular case it's working pretty well.
I've seen several verisons from you that are more readable than this, where I'm able to see the R and B.
I like this, great logo mark and typography. I like the version with the little serif hooks in the logo. I don't think it necessarily has to be readable as initials, the strength
You've got "GRAPHIC DESIGN" and another line of subcopy, both of which describe what you do and it's redundant. Plus the word "DESIGN" is used twice. Rather than that, put your name in there as the main copy so that if people do recognize the letters they understand the significance.
Good work, I think this is nearly done.
which one with the hooks?
The one at the top, not the ones in the comments.
To be honest, if you have to explain your symbol, it doesn't work. That being said I do like the first version, but I saw GD. As others have stated just using Graphic Design for your identity is not going to set you apart from the crowd so the RB needs to be obvious. And I agree with UR, ditch the second DESIGN, it's awkward.
I'd agree with some of the points made above. Your name should replace "Graphic Design". 2nd line can be an explanation of what you do.
Try not to 'fall in love' with your logo. Unless you are a big well known company, it's difficult to use initials as a logotype. If you want to use initials, make sure they are pretty clear... There should be no confusion. I think you are getting closer...good luck.
I would obviously use my name, graphic design was just added in there for a place holder, i said it was a work in progress
I did not know that, never mind then. As you were.
Ahhh, that's a good idea. Didn't realize that. May I suggest you put one together like that. I hope you understand that critiquing is constructive and not a personal attack...
