Brief from client
Something that has to do with pharmaceuticals and waves/water since Great Lakes is in the name. Colors: Blues and red if it can be incorporated.
I want to make sure you can tell it's a sail boat but also see the mortar and pestle pharmaceutical symbol. Trying to get out of the clipart look. Any and all feedback appreciated, including some go-to fonts you may be willing to share?

I'd say the basic idea isn't bad but the symbol needs to be drastically simplified. Grab a piece of paper and a pen and start sketching.
Never ever use the Papyrus font. It's right down there with Comic Sans MS, in the pit of hell we call Windows fonts. It just makes your logo look amateurish.
