Phillips Promotions is an event management company established in 2001 by Mr. Michael Phillips who at the time was one of Trinidad and Tobago’s most outstanding cyclists.

The company started-off by successfully promoting and staging top international cycling events, bar none. Since then, this has been the unequivocal hall mark of the organization to date.

I got more of a nautical feel from this. Also, something to consider, if this is a promotional company their logo will commonly be displayed next other logos, usually in clusters, on posters, fliers, shirts, etc. So much of the mass of this logo is made of visual elements and the text takes up so much less. When you scale down you loose all your readability when you really need punch and presence.
