Brief from client
The client is a public agency and they have an existing application for which we are creating a logo. It is part of Pennsylvania DOT and the project is called Project Builder. The software is for internal use only and its purpose is to help analysts and engineers make decisions based on the data related to maintenance of transportation assets.

There are 6 logos we have created. Since the application is related to analysis, research, building, strategy, and decision-making tool. We decided on the golden ratio as our theme and because the client wanted an image of someone with a construction hat we have added that as well.
We would appreciate your feedback on which one is best suited to the application.
Thanks!

I'm personally learning toward #3 and #4.
Generally you want the text to be the primary focus, and supplemental iconography to be secondary while not being overbearing or distracting. #3 and #4 are good in terms of proportion.
#3 has a simpler and more cohesive color scheme, and the icon fits with the text better, so this is probably my pick. Just needs a stronger font like #4, but maybe choose one that isn't too close to Impact :)
