Brief from client
An "open door" of possibilities for companies in need of new ideas.
Exposing clients to new content.
Keep it simple, but integrate a sense of purpose, an open opportunity, an open door, etc.

Some more variations
Perhaps the idea with the "open door" is not bad, but still somehow looks like element of the logo of "metallica"
Hmm not sure if I agree with you on that. Unless you mean how the tail of the P vaguely resembles the arrow point on the element logo. If so that may not be a major concern if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong of course). However thank you for the input nonetheless.
Also noticed that you gave a thumbs down on type and colors. If you can please give me some feedback as to why, that would help me in my next revision :3
If used - I would definitely not use the 'P' as the first letter of the word.
The way you have it laid out, 'P' above "Purpose" looks much better. The edited P does not flow with the whole word when used as the beginning character. Standing alone looks much better.
I like the idea, though it's nothing new, but I think it doesn't work for now.
I wouldn't say that it looks exactly like the Metallica logo, but I first thought you were going for this. I had to read your description to understand that there was a door in there.
i would keep it simple and drop the perspective effect.
Good luck!
It doesn't work for me.I agree with shawali.it would be better to drop the perspective effect.
Good stuff guys. Thanks for all the input.
Nice to see you back Gigafrost!
i agree whats already been said, i like the simplicity of it but it take a long time to tell that the p has a dorr opening in it in fact i couldnt see it untill i read your description. Keep working on it im sure you;; get some fab!
I've read the comments and opinions, most of which I understand and relate to, however, I believe some real effort and thinking went into this idea so yes the perspective should go but the door idea isn't that bad.
I would had a knob on the door, otherwise it looks like a weird serif.
