Brief from client
R.B. White
I thank you all for your opinions and suggestions. This is my improved version of the logo.
Think I prefer the original. It was more minimalist...more simplified, and pure. Although the revised version also has merit.
The original does need kerning, as the spacing seems too open in "White." So, I'd tighten that up some.
Lastly, I think it might be cool to do a version that just has your initials RBW, to be used in tandem or as an alternate/abbreviated logo...so you can use it as a Twitter or Instagram icon, etc. It could have your full name under, small, so that folks get the "white" reference in certain circumstances. Or, as is the case with Twitter, your name will appear next to the icon anyway.

If it has to stay a wordmark only, I think it looks decent. The font could be a bit thinner especially since they want a bit of a modern look.
Kerning is definitely off though. Check that. Also I think the 'R' should be in the foreground and not be cut off by the white 'B'
Lets see what everyone else thinks.
I agree with the R being on the front
lack of personality here, but i like the combo in RBW....still , it needs some particular line.
Any specific suggestion?
you just did it in the white version better than i would suggest, but now it lacks something else and i can t figure out what....
I like it. Simple and smart.
Watch out the B overlapping.
I made a new version
Digging this a lot, btw. Love how you made it look projected on a surface, etc.

Finally nailed it.
