Brief from client
Logo concept for my landlord who is in tiling, flooring, stone trade and services , does that for a living.
Lay out his initials " r " and " w " from tiles with a grout around it. Need feedback, please. This is my first take on this concept.

This is nice! I like the first version, it's more legible and balanced. I think the symbol could come down in size just slightly. And make sure text is centered perfectly. Nice color scheme. Good job.

I actually like the top version way more. will look better at different scale also. have you tried getting rid of heavy grey line around blocks?
Well first version looks like subway tile (which is very popular in America right now in homes. ) And the outline is like grout. So i think that version would be well received. :)

This is nice, you have to make some adjustments in the text, you must center the text and subtext.
