Rio - Bar & Rodizio Restaurant
Brief from client
bright, flames, possibly a bull.. Not very specific!
This is a logo for a new brazilian restaurant opening near to where i live. The client has painted his restaurant black so i decided as its a brazilian restaurant thats been painted black to go for a bright orange/red idea. I want people to know that there going to a Rodizio (grill) style restaurant just by looking at the name, hence why i incorporated the flames and used a free flowing font... This is where i have an issue.. can people tell the flames are flames and also have i over worked this logo? i have done one colour/flat versions but after looking at them for a very long time they become a bit boring compared to this version. all critique is welcomed as im not sure if im going the correct direction or not. cheers!

I think you overworked it a bit. The flames looks like mermaid or fish tails fo me :)
I also don't like the font type, it's messy for me; maybe the italic style, I don't know.
I agree with the orange/red colors.
With a more identified flames (not necessarily on the letters), it will be good.
thanks for your comment!
I love this logo, but I'm not sure I understand. Did you create it? Or did go just change the colors?
yea i created it
I like it :D is good for me
The logo looks good, but reminds a mexican style. In this case mexican food.
You know, the orange color, the flames, brings a hot sensation of sun, sand and pepper. Maybe you should use a symbol to link your idea and pass to the restaurant customers. ;D
I don't see what's wrong with this, it's an awesome logo.
Very good tweaking of the Wisdom font.
It will look totally rad painted on a wall.
Great job.
thank you Shawali! and well spotted of the Wisdom font!
Unfortunately the client has requested a lot of changes including the addition of a bull! heres the final signed off logo... Not quite as good as the first one i think! Just shows you how much of a pain clients can be sometimes!
Yeah. The first one is better...
This is the case, when the client sc*ew up the whole design with: "Ok thats nice, but insert a bull onto this" or other shit what he found in the Office clipart :D
But, the client pays...
Aargh, the client from Hell. Yup, this is really a bummer, the first one was perfect.
