Brief from client
This is for a project to create a product line

My idea is to create a line of products for a coffee brand or location with a rustic feel. I need to create 5 different packages for different products. I plan to have k-cup, bag of ground coffee, tea packets, mug, creamer.

What kind of product line? A target audience? Tell us a little. :)

This is looking pretty good so far. You totally nailed that rustic look you were going for.
I'm not 100% sure of that frame being an integral part of the logo. I'd love to see how it works in terms of general branding.
But you are definitely off to a great start.
Keep it up!
It's an attractive logo....but the longer I look at it I feel like that little log is too small??? OR there is just a bit too much space between the "Est." and "1995" which makes it seem too small.
I think you're on the right track, however the idea doesn't really seem to stand out all that much as far as uniqueness and creativity. I would agree with Joy that the log is a bit too small. It took me a bit to realize that's what it was. Also, I noticed that the word is not quite centered within the frame. The "R" is much closer to the frame than the "D" is on its side. I think this might look better in a rich, coffee brown, maybe. The black makes it look like a stamp - maybe that's what you were going for? But the clean lines of the "est. 1995" and the log kind of throw that off a bit. They could use a bit of grit.
it looks great overall, i'm not sure what to think of that shape you have around the text though
