I think that something got lost in translation in the brief. Looks like you got it from Google translate =)

I see the guitar alright, but I'm not sure what is this ting figuring out the neck. Is it a narguilé?

The font is really basic and boring. Looks like Myriad which is the font selected by default on Illustrator.

It's a hookah pipe so I'm assuming the molasses he mentioned is the shisha. I'm really getting where the guitar comes into play but that could be something lost in translation.

I'm not clear as to why they want a guitar involved but I think you have an opportunity with this symbol. Instead of just using vector shapes to make the body of the guitar you could use a hose connected to the pipe to make the guitar outline. I think you should also simplify the details on the pipe. It looks like an exact trace but the guitar is more abstract. I also agree that you need to put more into the font.
