Why are the colours all washed out? The idea is fine, if not kind of predictable. Maybe pull the figure a little more to the centre? The font reminds me of an engine brand or automotive shop. It's not really working.
First of all, the figure has yet another logo on his chest, which is not good. Secondly, it has too many details.
Overall, try simplify things out. And the subtext should be centered with the main text, or to have the same length. Also, the stroke is too big, altough I suggest get rid of it.
Definitely remove the logo from the player's jersey but I would leave him where he is instead of center. It implies motion in the direction the player is moving. I think if you lose the stroke on the main text the player will be awkwardly exposed where the current setup gives him something to come out from behind and I really like how his body is behind the text but his glove is in front. It gives depth. The subtext is centered with the body of the main font but because of the italics it looks off. Center it with the base of your main font. The colors are very faded looking so they're lacking contrast. I think you can improve upon this a good bit. Overall, I think you have a nice logo going and I can definitely see this on hats and jerseys.
