I like the symbol, and the idea...but the typography could use work. Drop the bevel & shadows and work on making the type fit the symbol. Maybe a slab serif or "heavy" weighted face would suite this well. You don't need all the embellishments to make type look strong & enforced. Keep at it!

I like the symbol. Pardonmebear is right about the bevel, you dont really need it. I would make the word security the same width as shield too. The first letter is a little lost.
