Brief from client
Simple but something different.
Using a camera or tripod in a logo is very common so do not use camera or other obvious stuff in the logo.

Good on you for staying away from camera/aperture graphics, but this idea doesn't translate well. Like you said, it's difficult to understand the visual. It took me forever to get it. I don't think someone with little/no experience with cameras will ever see what we do. So... version 2?!
I see where you're going with the idea but the symbol is hard to decipher and it looks crudely and quickly drawn. The letter spacing also makes the first and last name appear to run together as one word. Since you have photography in the name maybe you could make a symbol based on the photographer's subject matter. It steers you clear of the cliches and gives you quite a lot of options to create a symbol. Best of luck to you on the next versions.
Interesting idea, but it takes a while to see what's going on.
Here's what went through my mind.
What are they then?
Do photographers still use film?
Boxes toppling?
Books on a shelf?
Ouch someone's chopped their finger off.
What, is that a rude hand gesture?
Oh I get, it's hands holding a camera.
I suppose those are the fingers?! they are very abstract and they look just like unorganized bars falling and then we have the little figure floating( I guess is the finger that press the button).
Color is not nice, I think you need to use something more brigth, but i guess that is mainly a decision of your client. There are many letters so i will be very careful in the font and kerning, they seemm a little too distant from each other.
I think is great you want to avoid cliche symbols for photography but wathever symbol you choose make it recognizable and be very critic about it. You can do it!
I concur with my esteemed colleagues, this definitely not working at all. The brief is a bit challenging but interesting, but this solution doesn't deliver. You must have known this wouldn't work as soon as you typed "i know it's hard to understand but" and then proceed to explain what we're supposed to see. A logo should be self explanatory.
You need to go back to the drawing board, grab a pen and sketch, sketch and sketch again. And when you're done sketching, sketch again.
Also, sketch.
Good luck!
You might also want to mention that he should sketch..
Thankyou all of ull for the help. Version 2 under process. Coming soon. Nd I know this is not an excuse I can give but I had hardly 4 to 5 hrs to complete the whole design with the stationery. So.. yeah but going to make it better for sure.
Been there before. ;)
