Brief from client 

We had to design a modern, simplistic yet stylish logo for a netherlands based IT startup by some students from Saxion university of applied sciences.

I think it's good. You can try using inversion. It might be good if you use the rectangular plate under the letters. And I would suggest to increase the kerning. Good job on the whole.

euhm I guess that with rectangular plate you mean the / besides the half A?

that's actually ment to look like a "/" <- which is referred to as a slash symbol. about the kerning, you could be right, but i'm afraid i'll ruin my logo by making the kerning bigger

Didn't you post the exact same logo a few months back? Or is there anything news?

Though the idea is brilliant, I'm not a fan of the font. Way too bold and "in your face". I'd go for something more subtle, why not hand lettered.

yes i did, sorry about that, they lost the original logo and i didn't have a backup. Couldn't find my old post so I'd thought to try and upload it again to get some useful critique like yours :)

What exactly do you mean with hand lettered? sorry I'm not a professional, just a guy with a hobby trying to get good at it, do you mean like hand written style fonts? because personally i don't have a drawing tablet, and i kinda suck at writing anyhow.

soooooo i'm not really good at hand lettering a font, do you have any fonts in your mind???

overall i dont think it works, i am not liking the blue, and the kerning isnt good either
