First thing that I saw is a huge wish bone underneath " S " made of coffee beans. So, that needs to be taking care of.Don't like your choice of font and where it. I do like a lot a shape of your letter " S ". Now, I would suggest to keep " S " the way it is, drop a wine glass entirely. As your text goes " Smooth Wine & Cafe " - your current composition does the opposite, because first we see coffee beans and then wine glass, do you follow me on that? Add a silhouette of a wine glass or a bottle ( your choice ) in an upper negative space of " S " and then a coffee bean silhouette in a lower negative space of " S " and that should solve a symbol, as far as I'm concerned.Good luck and good job, so far! P.S. Not sure about that oval - Ford my have his final say on that :)
I'm a chinese, and we don't have a "wishbone" or something like that in our culture. I send this logo to my every friends then no one will say that is a bone, so I think it work. I like the idea of S, but it may not so fit another element or font. By the way,the font is an original type by myself, I'm pretty proud.
thanks for your comment
I like each individual element to this, but my main problem is that it tries to be complex and simplistic at the same time. You have a fine glass shape, but the coffee beans change the feel of it drastically. I would pick which one you want to go with the most. But if you do choose to keep the coffee bean "S," I would make the top a bit more interesting. Give it more variety by using different sizes and directions as you've done with the rest of the shape.
Also, don't worry about the oval. It's very different than Ford's logo.
easonszhadous, thank you for your reply! I didn't mean to offend your cultural roots in any way - but that is what I saw instantly due to a fact that you broke up a wine glass in a center. However, I want to point it out a few more things: 1. your double " oo " are not aligned properly with that invisible center line of the wine glass and , so, as the entire text versus each side of the oval shape., 2. your " S " looks almost as " 8 " from a distance. I know that in your culture it is a very important symbol, but not for this graphic design., 3.dimmer a wine glass and smooth a top sharp points to make it feel as a glass not a needle., 4. lighten up a text to stand out more., 5.I see as an idea to pour a wine into a coffee bean for your main symbol. Good luck!

Like Killswitch, each seperate elements is not bad on its own, but this is not really working when all put together.
Right off the bat you can get read of the oval shape. You limit the possibilties of your logo in terms of composition.
The S is pretty well done, but from the thumbnail version, with this color it looked like a worm.
Generally speaking, I'd say you need to simplify it.
Good luck.
