Brief from client
Group for activism in a smalltown in mexico
it's a simple typography logo with a simple form about a simbol in this town "" a butterfly" it's compose with 4 forms thath join's in the center. "encuentro"
i like the typography, but im not sure about the Symbol, it doesnt say butterfly to me. i think the logo itself looks a bit disjointed and unbalanced. The word El to me looks like its floating in nowhere. Its a good start but needs some more work
I like your font choice here, I wouldn't go into generic mexican typefaces just because it's in mexico, it's not like every company in Texas uses bleeding cowboys... Work on the symbol though, it's a bit too abstract.
Hi, i love the typography, but, this one remember me the thypography by "El Carabobeño", is a newspaper of Carabobo - Venezuela, you should use some colors, good job.
It is true that this looks more like a logo for the Bahamas rather than Mexico, but it does look like a butterfly. If you moved the circles in the wings to be more symmetrical, it would help or add a little more (not much) detail to the wings, to make it more identifiable.
I like the shapes in your first symbol, if you could reconfigure them to look more like a butterfly and add some color. Also, I personally think your typeface should be light, airy and flowing ... like a butterfly in flight. Don't think Mexico just because that is where the company is, think about the company and what they represent and do. An encounter is emotional and vulnerable, in my personal opinion.
