Brief from client
Can't change the original too much:
http://www.st-johns-pri.gloucs.sch.uk/home.html
So here's our version… Clichés, colours etc. have already been considered.

It definitely looks better than the original but you didn't fix the main problem : too much text! This logo is a whole novel. Try to always avoid having a tag line or claim directly attached to the logo. In this case, "where children flourish" is way too prominent. The fact that there are 2 subtexts with different size doesn't really help with the clarity. That's the reason I red thumbed typography. The choice of font is nice, it's just that there's way too much of it.
You should have one version where it's only "st John's" and another with the subtext "church of England..."
If you can fix, you'll have a neat logo. Keep it up!
Unfortunately it has to stay, agree with you though.
In that case, simply change the logo so that the tagline demands less attention. It looks tons better than the original, I agree.
first of all i think " where children flourish" should be smaller than the rest...right now it looks like it is the main thing of the design.
i agree with the divinding line, and the color of church of england..school doesnt match the other blue?
Good point, unfortunately I have to keep the colours, but swapping them around is allowed. Thx for your feedback
I agree with the above; much better than the original, but make the tagline less prominent. I think the colors are okay, though, not that it matters since you can't change them.
