Stage Digital

Brief from client
A digital marketing recruiter and online marketing agency looking to build a strong brand identity.
Target: Small/Medium business size owners and marketing managers.
Not to be over fussy. Simple, yet stand out, unique and fresh.
Incorporating 'stage' element into logo.
I am keen to understand if the stage element incorporating the cut away curtain works, and positioning of the words. Which version is the best starting point?
Colour hasn't been used at this point however it will in the final version. The digital will be a vibrant colour that will change based on where it is being used e.g website, business card.
Any feedback would be very much appreciated as I am a logo design beginner.

I think it works, although I would center the composition.
Be careful, the two "versions" you uploaded are basically the same logo. In the end, you will need several iterations of your logo, according to the environment it will be used, be it a web page, a business cards, etc...
Good job!
Hi Shawali
Thank you!
By center the composition do you mean place digital centrally below stage, or keep as is and centre on the canvas?
Do you think the curtain effect could do with more of an arch?
