Brief from client
Logo for a marketing agency.
Question: does this inspire dynamism or movement about to happen?

Not bad afterall. I like the simplicity in it.I would suggest to try other symbols of S that are more similar with typeface and more thinner to have a balance with typeface itself. Good job.
The S doesn't resemble the letter, but a combination of the letter and a (water) drop, faling.
I would like the movement of the falling drop to inspire the name, STATUS, like:
"drops are falling, gravity doesn't stop so does time! what's your status?"
I don't think the symbol and type are successful at the moment. They don't seem to work well together in my opinion. I tried to list some of the issues I saw in this picture. For example: I don't enjoy the curves on the S, the shades of black are not the same, etc. I think you need to work with your negative space more in order to achieve a better water drop. Right now the S is too weak for me, and I can't quite reach a water droplet yet. Hope this helps.
I think this is a really, really good start. I like the idea of the water droplet S for the symbol, but I don't see it at the moment. Honestly, from the thumbnail, I thought it was a little flame. Up close, it does resemble a droplet more so, but sometimes it's good to take a few step backs and look at the logo from a distance.
I like the font, and I think it goes well with the symbol, so overall, great job. :)

you said its supposed to look like a water drop but I can't see it(your lines are too thick and ends abruptly)
No, I said a combination of an S with a waterdrop. Read carefully.
I think you need to work more on the idea, to make the S looks more like a water drop.
What if I want the waterdrop to look more like an S ? :))
It is up to you! :)
I wanted to say that it needs to look both like a drop and an S. It can look more like an S but it still have to look like a drop.
Nice start. The symbol needs a bit more tweaking if you want it to look like a water drop. Right now, I don't see it.
At first glance, I thought it had something to do with music, which I liked.
Keep it up!
I have a big issue with what i think is a big conflict between the 'symbol' type and the main type.
The symbol looks like an 'S' set in a 1920's font and the main type is from a more recent era. I don't think it works at all.
I think that the S/Water droplet idea could work, but it needs more refinement.
If I were you, i'd start a new version completely fresh and see what comes of it. Sometimes it's the only way :)
Also, incidentally I think that the water droplet looks more like a side profile of a boob as it is now. The angle and shape is wrong.
Now that can't be unseen. Thanks. :P
