Brief from client
Create a logo using the words "Steve Trumpet Shop" with a trumpet.
Stylized vertical words "Steve's Trumpet Shop" overlapping graphic of a trumpet bell.
Sorry... it doesnt work. The name of the business its so cool to do great things!! Try diferentes fonts and a totally diferent idea. Forget about IMPACT.
I agree with everything that's been said already (it's not a stylized font, never use Impact, never use vertical text, etc etc) but I also felt that the color needed to be brought up.
I would steer far, far away from the light green color! It won't print as well as you'd like it to (colors will never appear as bright on paper as they do when light is shining through it on a screen- always remember that!!) - and honestly, I think you'd be better off just starting over. Chuck the whole thing and start anew!!

I hurt my neck trying to read your logo. =)
Seriously, never ever use vertical text in a logo.
Don't use Impact either. It's been seen too many times.

One more thing : "stylized" doesn't mean turning the word upside down. =)
As you heard from the others, please no impact font, rotate reading right. =) lets try this again! =)
Do you make logos for a living? If so, have you been in a coma since 2002?
Don't assume your logo must look like it was made on a computer because it was. Think broadly, and beyond the limitations of your PC.
