Brief from client
Was asked to keep it simplistic. But to add some sort of modern touch to the design. They gave no direction or color scheme, so this was a first draft.
Old-school lawyer father and young(er) son (fresh out of law school) starting their own firm together. Wanted branded to stand out in their small town.

Pretty average, but it works for the most part. I'd get rid of the distortion effect on the main copy, and lose the quotation marks in the subcopy. Replace the commas with small bullet points. Move the vertical accent line to a horizontal between "Attorney At Law" and the subcopy.
The S&S monogram looks a little fat in the middle, but it's ok as it is.
Thanks for the response! I wasn't too thrilled with this version, honestly. But the client liked the simplicity. (He's almost 80)... and his son 50's.. haha Unfortunately I based their final design off this logo.
