Strawberry

Brief from client

Made this logo to sell on Stocklogos
Tried to make it for a Smoothie/Ice cream company
it could also work for a lot of other things like a kids clothing brand logo.
The text is a placeholder and I will change it the the companies name if someone wants to buy it.

i appreciate all feedback :)

Sorry- the colors don't make sense and the font is pretty wack. The strawberry looks more like a fat carrot to me...

I would have at least used seeds to make the smiley face.

Period?

Hey man thanks for your feedback, Any suggestions on how to make the colors make sense? Are you referring to how the strawberry is pink and not red?

I actually really like the font any reason why it's "wack"?

Any suggestions on how to make it look more like a Strawberry than a short chubby carrot?

Well, a strawberry is red with green leaves and black seeds. So, the purple/pink doesn't work for me.

Re: the font- It looks like a comic sans/store bargain font.. I suppose it's "fun".. If that is what you are going for..OK. It just isn't pleasing to the eye from a design sense (at least to me).

The strawberry you have there is pointy at the end, and the leaves sprout like a cartoon carrot. Base it on a real strawberry (shape, color, and leaves) and I think the whole thing will be much more successful.

Just my opinion. Maybe everybody else will get on here and love it. But I would start working on those suggestions just in case : ).

Yeah strawberries are for sure red, I made it pink to go for a more "Cute" look (Like how strawberry shortcake is pink) but will definitely try some different shades of red and see how it looks.

It's hard to say what the real shape of a strawberry is because they vary so much, some are round some are pointy and some even have 2 points.

I don't really see how they look like carrot leaves though since carrot leaves have a sort of stem and then a leaf part at the top.

I didn't add any seeds to the strawberry because I didn't think it would really work with the simplistic design I was going for.

I understand all of that actually.. and I have given my thoughts, so I won't argue the point. I will say 2 things- There are better ways to make a "cute" design from my point of view. And the seeds I mentioned because I thought it made more sense to make the eyes etc.. from the elements of a strawberry rather than drawing a smiley face. The design does look cute/fun.. I just think it could be better executed. (once again- just my opinion)...

I don't usually design "cute" logos.. but this is what came to mind for a cute strawberry themed logo- playing off of your elements. Did it really quick- but maybe it will help:.

what he said: but I'm not feeling the word broken into 2 parts "STRAW ( ) BERRY"

I think moving it above creates some symmetry, also have you played around with dropping one part of the word... I'm sure everyone can tell it's a strawberry once it's redefined... just a thought

Look at House Industries Font Collections, they may work for you...

Color scheme is a bit gay and not very pleasing.
I don't mind typography, I think it can work but your 'berry' graphic is really not up to good standards.
I think you need a better idea and execution for this to become something memorable.
