Studio Magma needed to convey thought provoking design in the form of a logo. It had to be timeless and have that little clever something.
Using a little triangular volcano as a foundation, the negative space from the vent forms a pencil. It also looks like a science experiment which hints at thoughts and experimentation.

Pretty nice, i would change the colors in something less bright, or is just my display.....I like the fonts and the symbol, would make less bubbles but is ok as it is if you like it. I don't know if the text under the line is too long or not.....Good job here.
Good comments and the tagline was there only as a guide really. Taglines are a bit tacky generally, so I will not be using that. As far as colours go, I will be opting for a red/orange I think. It is CMYK, so will probably be a little more muted than we are seeing here. I have both stacked and horizontal versions of the logo and I can't choose between them.
I love what you did here. These 2 colors are working like charm, the fonts have more value now and the bubbles are just ok. VERY NICE LOGO....
First of all, I like this a lot! It's great- and I like this version the best! The colors are way better, the symbol is perfect, and I like this font how you have it here. But I had to throw down oooooone little suggestion just to see what you think: Have you tried having it so that Magma and Studio are the same width as the symbol!? Either upping the size of the symbol OR decreasing the size of the font?? I realize that might not work, but I had to ask! Really nice work though- two thumbs up!
Thanks for the suggestion saraqroxy. It lost its balance slightly, but I did know where you were coming from on that point. I'm glad that you like it — especially as you make valid points across the forum.
this is the best version, the only thing that bugs me is the red, grey, red, grey sequence i think you should have magma studio all the same colour - red! that way it can represent lava from the volcano. Awsome design tho!
