I love this. I don't know if you meant to do it but with the S cut out of the circle, the green and brown seem to make abstract hands, which is perfect for the project. The only criticism I would give is the green might be a little too bright and I would make "handnailsfeet" smaller than the "Stylesspa" which would enable you to make the leading tighter. Awesome job overall though

thanks for your comment, I didn't realize the fact of the abstract hand 'till you mentioned. I'll take your advice in mind, thank you very much ;D

Don't be so generous, that's why we are here. the logo design is very old school, i know you've done the same kind of layout at some point of your designing career. I do this kind of design when i can't think of anything or the client keeps on bargaining with my logo charge.

Sorry to be the party pooper but this doesn't really work for me.

It's a very "first thought" logo. The S thing looks really meaningless and lazy too me. Moreover, it's really not unique, I bet there are thousands of designers who just did the same at some point. I know I did years ago.

The bold/light font thing is also old as hell.

Globally,it looks to me like you didn't spend much time on it. Not enough to own it, at least. Not long enough to make it unique. Right now, it's very generic.

My advice would be to get as much inspiration as you can get. About logos, fonts, whatever. Check out sites like www.inspirationfeed.com www.losttype.com or www.fontsinuse.com

It's alright, if it's only your second logo. Years from now, or even months, you'll back at it and think "WTH was I thinking about?!" =)

Thanks for your comment, I do not care about the points for or against the typography and color, I seek an opinion as yours that tells me points to improve, a greeting.

Well, I don't mind the green and brown colors together, but I'm afraid I'm going to join Shawali in not really loving the symbol. While it's nice that the shapes sort of make two hands (and maybe that's something that you should really work on to make it more interesting) - it leaves me very 'eh' as a whole.

The main thing I wanted to comment on are the fonts you chose- I don't like them at all. They're too narrow and also as Shawali already mentioned- the bold/thin thing just isn't working here.

If it were me, I'd play up the idea with the hands and see what develops. Have a beer and sit down with a sketch book!!

Thanks, I'll take into account each of the aspects you mention me.

I'm sorry but the idea is too old fashion, I agree with Shawali, it's a 5 minutes logo design.

hedgz's picture

Believe me, this logo will not take me five minutes to do so ... was a work week. is a kind of comment that I dislike, because you're just criticizing, but not telling me what should be improved in the logo , in constrats with the opinion of other colleagues.

friends, I seek constructive criticism, not destructive criticism, the client was more than satisfied with the result, and they have recommended me it to their customers. I appreciate the constructive comments of Shawalli and Sara , who show me the errors in the logo, but many others seem intent on denigrating my work, and does not seem right.

Wowowow, wrong attitude dude.

Not liking your logo isn't "denigrating" your work. When someone says it looks like it's been done in 5 minutes, it IS constructive criticism. It tells you something is not right. Especially when 2 different people say it.

I'll go further. If some people just says "you suck", it's rude, but it still says something's not right. Please note that I'm not saying that you suck =)

But people don't have to write a novel about your logo. Take each comment as a service and thanks everyone, even if you don't agree with them. No one has to comment on your logo, let alone tells you what is wrong exactly with it. I did this time, but I don't always do it.

Bottom line is, you don't get to pick what can and can't be said about your logos and no one is interested if your feelings are hurt. A hard truth is always better than sweet lie.

Oxyd way of pointing out that the S thing was over done is funny and moover it brings you the proof by providing his own version.

Don't feel bitter about comments, whatever they are. You don't want to be like this old American dude, with allegedly 30 years of experience in the business, who went on a banter a few months back because Sara and I had the audacity to tell him that is logo was really not good. And trust, your logo is gold compared to his. I just found it for you ; http://www.brandsoftheworld.com/critique/creativeminds

Anyway, keep posting some more logos, I'll be happy to give you my two cents.

Adios!
