I like the initial idea, but Rafael has a point. I'll elaborate...
Is this application for a mobile phone / tablet, or a desktop computer? Think about how small this will be on screen. Zoom out until the icon appears the same size it will be seen. The lines you've drawn are probably too thin and close together. See how they blur together and lose their distinction?
Make the outer white circle thicker and closer in from the edge, thicken the horizontal lines and delete half of them. Increase the space between objects. With the circular border thicker, you'll have to bring the checkmark down in size a bit, you may want to thicken that as well so that it matches the other lines.
Also, the purple gradient is nice, but it should be more pronounced with more contrast. It's too subtle when viewed at a small size. Make the darkest shade darker, and the lighter shade lighter.
Overall though, I really do like this, but for its purpose it needs a little more work.
