Brief from client
Use the colors Royal Blue, Black, and White...
My boss gave this to me to design for his son's travel baseball team. I think it's ages around 9 years old. the window I was given to turn this around was so narrow that I probably had a collective 3-5 hours to ponder, sketch, and vectorize. Since I had such a tight window to develop this I could greatly use some feedback. You folks are the best!

Color variants.
These are what I was playing with for a symbol. I like the second down on the right but my boss wants me to keep with the same "A" used in the full name.
Excellent development. Couldn't possibly criticize it.
Great work for your time frame!
I think over all its really well done!
i made a tweak, but im still thinking ur good to go! :)
on all the uploads the right side looks best with the strokes, etc they look more finished!
Thanks, man. I thought about making the mountains solid too but I was explicitly told not to because it looked too similar to a previously done logo that my boss wanted to stay clear of.
That's is pretty cool. But the fact that "team" and "avalanche" don't have the same serif angle is kinda bugging me. it throws off the dynamic.
I'm also not a fan of the symbol. The 2 mounts are kinda floating about.
Anyway, good job.
I hear you. I really wish I had more time to develop this. I haven't done much in the way of sports team logos and I was looking forward to it. I actually started developing a different logo for this but the team WAS going to be called Winter Haven Heat. They decided to change at the last minute so I lost all that time and all my sketches were useless. Ugh... C'est la vie.
Nice!
I agree with Stephen, I think the bottom of the mountains is a little bit too curvy. Also agree with Shawali.
Am quite sure you can sort that out, would like to see how you evolve it.
Absolutely a great job! Harmony and consistency to the business. Congrats and success!
Ah don't you just love it when your boss does that? Have you focus on a design for 90% of the time-frame and then wants you to start a fresh at the remaining 10%? Happens to me all the time lol.
Everything looks like it's been said from the previous comments, and I agree. I think the main focus (and best use of your time) would be to somehow make those mountains work for your layout. But really what it comes down to is the nit-picky.
Your logo is already very strong so I don't really think of this as something of utmost seriousness, but maybe to help make your mountains look less 2D is by combining the bottom curves so the dynamic is then drawn from the top of the mountain (The snow-caps) rather than being dependent on the bottom half.
Played around with these ideas, a simple placement here and there really maybe they can be of some use. :3
Sorry if these look rough, I totally just live traced it and went with that. Hopefully you get what I mean though haha.
Excited to see another version of this! Keep at it!
