It just seems to be the obvious thing to do, I would try to think outside the box a bit more, and try something that doesnt involve putting something in the O, I mean its not bad
Nice colours and typography but the illustration in the "O" isn't really needed. Try and find something more unique and i think your'e on to something.
That is one silly looking lamp, unfortunately lines are too thin and when you scale this logo down to minimal size (1 inch) it will look like shit.
Typography is fine but I think you need a different approach - separate graphic mark + text or just a clean word mark.
The details of that nice lamp are unsustainable inside the "O". reduce the logo to a 250px wide and they will be gone.
The tone of the colors is to pale. Perhaps if you give it a little bit of strength they will look better.
