Turner Signs

Brief from client
This is a logo for my own company as the current logo is dated now. It is a family run business and i am taking over from my dad so wanted a fresh modern look
You achieved a modern look, and I like the colors. I think you have some kerning to be done in "Turner." The spacing between T-U-R is different than between N-E-R. You might could even enlarge it just slightly to align left with signs and still fit in that space.
There is a sliver of white showing between S and I in signs that I would fill in, as it is a bit distracting. I would even consider making the grey drop shadow solid between the bottom of the N and S in signs, just to make it clean.
I think this will be a nice logo, just needs some "tweaks" here and there.
Good job =)
I'm really sorry but I'm really not feeling this logo.
I don't think it's very modern. On the contrary, it looks dated to me, with a kinda 90's feel to it. It seems there's a trend among sign makers with the use of sturdy, italic dynamic fonts, the kind of which you find on motorbike or racing cars. There's another post from another sign business which feels the same.
But the main problem I have with this logo, and maybe that's just me, is that the S look like chevrons and I just read IGN.
I agree with Joy about the kerning of "Turner". It really needs to be fixed.
Thanks for comments. I will look at cleaning the logo up and altering kerning like you suggested. Me and my family are involved in motorbike racing aswell as a lot of our customers so that might have influenced my design without even realising, ill keep working on it

I very easily read "sign"....until you said they look like symbols, not S's. Anddddd now I see symbols!!! Maybe you're right!
I have to agree with Charlie, it is very 90's. I first read Turner IGN until I saw the brief. I do like the orange and grey though.
