Brief from client
This is for an offroad and diesel company that does aftermarket upgrades for trucks, jeeps and diesels.
The symbol is hand drawn. The center is a T and M and the outer rim is an off-road tire. I though it was interesting how the M and bottom of the T almost make a mask looking back at you. The lettering began as a font and I customized it. Alternates to follow below.

The Twisted Metal font is really nice, but it's in desperate need of a kerning adjustment. Also, to me the symbol in the gear looks like a three leaf clover (especially when one of your logos is in green). I'm not getting a mask out of it, or a T/M. Good work overall.
Nice logo! Yes, the previous comments is valid. What I think will solve the problem apart from kerning of the Twisted Metal is putting those ' OFFROAD & DIESEL' like 200%-250% of space between letters. But that's just my opinion. It's beautiful when there's a play of contrasts.
I agree with all the previous comments - more space required around each letter and more work needed on the symbol as i didnt get T M from it at all until i read your description.
That being said i think this looks really cool! I really like the Twisted Metal text and the grungy feel to the whole thing ties it all together nicely!

Another awesome logo!
At first, I thought it was for a metal band. But with this kind of client, it works just as well.
My only beef is that the subtext doesn't really match the general look & feel.

Thanks, man. I was actually just looking at the subtext. Unfortunately, the client didn't like this one so I'm waiting for direction. Blows. I was really liking where this one was headed.

I quite like what you have done with this logo. It does look like clover if it is green though!
I do however dislike the lack of ice cream trucks involved. Can you please do a version with an insane clown in a vehicular combat death match battle and put it on the Playstation?
