Vizzle

Brief from client
My client needed curvy flowing version of the world Vizzle. (A very angular word)
A fun full copy of the logo mark with all the trimmings included.
Made this logo a little back, but going over some new options and idea's.
Mmmh, I don't know about this one. Like you, I'm a sucker for vintage style logo, but the font looks too flimsy to me, especially the V and the L. It's a wild guess, but did you try to go for something like the Vine logo?
Also, there are too many dots and dashed strokes, it kinda complicates things up.
I like how you counter balanced the V with the "est. 2008" thing (I love these, I wish we could have that in France =)
So yeah, this looks good, as always, except the main font.
I agree with the dots and Dash's. Each time I see the design I feel theres alot missing or something much better to do be done with the layout. The word "Vizzle" could move up a fair bit more, with some extra wording under this. This is the first draft for the Badge type logo, so will alter the wording and think of something extra to the fit the space. Have drawn a group of nice icons to match up to this too. Might just try going way over the top...
Yea the 'Vizzle' font just isn't working for me either. It thinks it's that it's the same thickness all the way around. A naturally hand drawn font has thins and thicks that create flow.
I'm having trouble thinking where you might use this logo. It's got so much info it reads more like a business card than the actual logo. I'm just not sure where this format (circlular wih this amount of info) would be used.
I find it asthetically pleasing but I'm finding it difficult to absorb the info. After Vizzle I'm not sure what to go to next.
*hides* I knew when I uploaded this, it was in grey areas with "logo design" but, well... I thought itd be nice to see something different.
I've been really into the very accurate consistent line style recently. I need to work more on how to develop these into more natural line styles. This was one of my first where I had really worked up this style. I'll bare this in mind for the new revisions.
this is really something different. Very few put so much information in a logo, but this one works great. Stand away the gray fonts act as graphical, walk up close its information.
I think that this is pretty nice, the only thing I might suggest would be to add a bit of a flourish to the end of the lowercase "e" to balance it out a bit more. It feels like it is slightly off-center to the left even though I know it's not. Maybe emphasize the play buttons a little more just to make it more obvious exactly what you do.
