Voodoo pins & needles

Brief from client 

Student brief. Branding of of pins and needles company using tactile objects in typography.

Here is a cleaner version of the logo. Looking at it now - the 'pins & needles' could be too close to 'Voodoo'.

Have you tried putting together some variations on how many pins are needed to create "VOODOO" I would try to the make the word out of the least amount of mins as possible without loosing the shape.

I think Cooper Black still had its charm over the new font for the subline.

I think you've nailed (pun intended) the voodoo bit, but the typography on pins & needles still needs work.

I think you need to let go of the perspective effect. Like the ad you posted on the exhibition forum on AotW, it only complicates things.
