I'm not voting yet cause I'm really not sure how I feel.... I like the pencil idea, but I did not see that until I read description. Maybe you could push that a bit more.
Also, I think there is more to life than reversing things out of negative spaces. You don't want to become a "one trick pony" =)

Nope, not feeling this one.

The V doesn't look much like a V, and the first thing I saw was just a tightly cropped Z.

I like the idea but I feel somewhat dizzy looking at it. I feel like theres no defined up or down and since the "pencils" gets cut it floats around. Perhaps surround the symbol with a stroked rectangle and make it more defined.

The font is not working for me, to much going on there. I would look for something more subtle.

Ok, the basic idea is good, although I stopped counting how many negative space logos you came up with. Don't be a one-trick pony and try to diversify. But as we say in my country, I feel like I'm just pissing in a violin.

I would tell you to take sometimes to keep working on this, but I already did this 3 half-assed logos ago.
