Brief from client
This is an option for a logo as a wedding photographer. I wanted to keep it simple and clean but not too boring.
Final version. Moved the shutter/letter "o" to the middle of the word photography to separate the word "photo" from "photography"

I don't think this version works well. First I think the boldest type should be your name, rather than the service. It is what makes you unique. Definitely keep the lower case "c" in any version. The iris image as a letter doesn't work, not only because any letter where it would be used is not centered, therefore it doesn't and any structure, but it could look a little campy since it is used often. Indeed it is a major part of what you do, but perhaps it could be a stand alone symbol element used in part or as a whole to help draw attention to the company name.
this is bad, Go back to the drawing board.
Your typeface is wrong. You're shutter is wrong. You're insistence on putting 'fine art wedding photojournalism' in the logo is wrong.
Cut out all that, and it seems a little better: (obviously, this is no finished logo)
The shutter looks like something that's been seen a million times and it's clip-arty to boot! The text on the top line looks too thin in my opinion, you've GOTTA get all of that subtext (fine art, wedding, blah blah) out of there! It's a logo, not a business card!
I'd go back and start over from something fresh. (But it would at least be better if you did it more like Dltd's example above.)
Its too busy.
