Ye Olde Studio

Brief from client

I've been working on my own personal rebrand. I would love to create a division of my business to look into producing traditional hand painted signboards.

I've worked on a new lil 'Ye Olde'
I really like working in this style as the letters are created using a very strict framework. I'll post some images to explain below.

Great to see you back Joe! This is insanely awesome! i love every part of it! all the details that you put in look really cool and dont look over complicated. Im still in ore as to how you manage that. Your selection of fonts as ever are perfect and all work well with each other

Beautiful - as always, but think that the 'u' and 'o' in studio are kinda illegible...

It looks like you are a tattoo guy :). I kinda like it but really better the one that you have on your web site, more readable, there is a kind of rumor here I'm almost sure that it will be hard to read it on small size example on your site had and it may lose it function. Still not voting for the line at the right part.

I agree with Jon o this - when I first saw it ti was a thumbnail but it caught my eye. When I opened it up to a larger image I had no idea what it said until i read the copy under it. it was the "u" and "o" that made it hard to identify what it said. Maybe if you ad curves going in the direction of the upper or lower bars, like you did on the "S" it will help the eye bring those together to form the letter. - Just a thought.
