Gaming On The Rocks

Brief from client
From the name, you can tell we are carrying on the alcohol theme. I'd love to see a logo that would be iconic with the name or acronym GoR. It should be polished and fit well in with other gaming news sites.
I would take out the OT and maybe use a different font. Too bad the client asked for the acronym. Would work better without it. I would work some "rocks" in there. Try a different perspective on the glass. A view from above (or a skewed angle) could give you more graphic possibilities.
Looking at it again, maybe the splash works.. and the color is throwing me off. Looks like milk. Toothpick and olive... maybe with the olive as the O between G and R? I don't know.. maybe I should get drunk and think about it.
Fantastic - many thanks for taking the time to give feedback.
Could maybe that, with the olive or perhaps a lime(?) for the o.
I did originally have some "rocks" falling in, but I'm wanting to keep it very simple solid colours, not gradients, so couldn't really get the ice cubs to look good without losing them in the splash, that and it's like "why is there a splash if the ice cubes are falling - Possibly something to revisit tomorrow.
Yeah.. it's tough. Add then take away.. repeat. Mix and match. Simplify. I think a different perspective could work. Something to play with at least. Get drunk on something over ice.. Maybe inspiration will hit : ).
I really like it! I would use only one blue, personally I lke the darker on. If "on the" could fit into a lime or down a straw that would be perfect.
Excellent concept!

These colors do not work with the black.
Hmm, i quite liked the contrast the white created with the dark grey personally.
What do you suggest?
Cheers for the feedback.
I meant the blues with black.
I did this real quick... but it's how I would resolve the rocks and splash.. I guess we are allowed to do this on here?
