bad art direction here, the font is unfit, i would say the whole logo looks outdated. Try a more dynamic approach , some round , more organic font would do it. also do not involve in the concept too much elements (as you did). Put the weight on the symbol or on the type, but not on both. Color.....i advice you to work on black and white and add color after this. Good luck.
I think you have to sketch more. The more you sketch on paper, the more you will realize what is best. Here I don't see that there were many sketches. Your logo now is made of three different fonts and a visual. It can be if you are talented designer, but I think 2 fonts are more than enough, picture of a camera shouldn't be confusing. It's a design studio, not a photographic one. So there could be some play in fonts, but in your case it's not a play, it's a font torture. Change fonts but let them live, let them speak, let them have soul so to speak. And yes, black is very good for logos. Don't stop. Keep sketching. I believe you can do it.
Adding color is the least of your problems right now.
I 100% agree with Alpreacher. You need to sketch, sketch and sketch again.
Also, you need to rethink how you want people to see your brand. What I get from your logo is that your are a photo studio. I think you need to ditch the camera here.
You also need a lot of inspiration (www.dribbble.comwww.logopond.comwww.stocklogo.com) Basically, this logo is very poorly designed. You'll need much more work to make it really professional looking.

I'm feeling it but I don't get the what the camera is doing with the "C". Now it looks like "Graphio" not "graphic".
I like the fonts.
I think that you should want to continue searching for a better solution. Try to be inspired by, for example here http://www.pinterest.com/search/pins/?q=logotype&term_meta%5B%5D=logotyp...
