Brief from client
A logo for a guy who wants to start his own personal training company, he wanted to incorporate spartans some how. A T are his initials.

You already have a " T " in a negative space inside " A " helmet. It reads " T A " to me instead of " A T " plus a see a quite dog face ( a Maltese ) somehow in your symbol =).
Wonderful. I didn't even see the negative space T.
I'll take that into consideration, all though I do not think many other people will see the T in the face either.
I noticed it as well, but it feels you'd do more harm than good when forcing letters like that.
I would suggest to draw more sketches and explore more into your original idea.
It is also important to keep reading in order : A T not T A . I'm sure your client will appreciate that important factor. Somehow you must instantly tied up your idea here with a fitness before anybody can read a text - do you understand that part? Good luck.
The helmet feels very tall to me. The logo feels even taller. There is an awful lot of room for preventing helmet hair in there.
I think this would be better suited more proportional, even at a cost of some 'A' legibility.
Waffles, by the way did you see a gorgeous waffle app created by Eddie Lobanovsky over at dribble? I saw that last night and it is a beauty. Check it out.Chances are - you might considered upgrading yours here?
That was the prettiest waffle I've ever seen!
I agree with everything said here, especially with the comment Waffle, referring to the height of the logo.
I think that is way too large compared with the text.
I agree with Shaun that the whole Spartan thing for a fitness business is getting really old. That being said, the idea of the helmet representing the A and T (in negative space) might worth the shot.
