New logo, new naming. This is a personal project and a final presentation to the 1st grade of the graphic design course which I participate. I changed the naming because the theme of this magazine will be based on video, internet and music interacting with these elements, I play with Rock and Roll, the mother of many rhythms that appear in the magazine. I looked for a combination of classic and modern. represented by the symbol icon of "play" of videos on internet and a cassette wheel, and that music videos were present since 1980 and both the VHS cassette, such as audio, have this wheel, as an essential operational element.

I think the biggest mistake I had was not having the exact issue of the magazine to be treated, even I was rambling, but now that I have the idea of what I want to present as a magazine, I present this as a proposed logo.
This looks very dated to me, especially with these colors.
It's also needlessly over complicated, with too many symbols. I don't even see what the one in "roll" is supposed to be.
With a name like "vlog 'n roll", which is pretty cool, I'd expect a less boring font than a helvetica-like. And watch out the kerning, it's all over the place.

I'm with Shawali on this one. You really don't need to show New/Old within the word mark. I don't think it's important to do that to get your point across. I too didn't know what was in the O of Roll. I also agree that the colours are dated.
IF the intention of the quotes on either side of the N was to symbolize headphones.... good job, but I'm not sure it was. You may want to extend the tails of the quote marks above the N and attach them to make this come across better.
Definitely change the font!
