Don't like the serif next to the sanserif at all. Looks really really bad. Change the arial looking font to match the first one. If you want it to stand out change the weight. Not really all that crazy about the 1st font either. Maybe try something nicer (myfonts.com) . Kerning is off and spacing is weird. Its also not centered. The clipart is bad too and the colors can be better. This looks like it was put together in 5 minutes. Also why is there a line underneath? If its part of the logo it can be better.
The idea is not bad but it is not executed well.
I agree about not mixing the fonts. Serif looks better for this. Also, this layout leaves your logo far to long horizontally. When you try to fit it into places down the road it will be too small to display strongly. Try stacking the words on top of each other justified left and have the books lean against the stack. I would also try to tone down on the saturation of the blue. Good luck!
